OnePlus has announced that the company will conduct pop-up events at New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore from June 15 to attract customers for its flagship OnePlus 3. The customers will be able to feel the device before purchasing it, instead of buying online.
According to OnePlus, the product team will travel across seven cities in the world. The company urged its fans in these cities to join them at the pop-up events to experience the OnePlus 3 live by holding it in their hands. Moreover, if you purchase the device by attending the event, you will be eligible for exclusive swags. You just need to walk into the event location without any prior registration.
While the location, date, and time for the OnePlus pop-up event have been announced for New York, Paris, London, and Berlin, the specifics of Indian cities is yet to be announced.
The New York event will be held on June 15, 2016, between 7 and 10 PM, where OnePlus founder Carl Pei will be a special attendee. As we can see on the official page, the event in other three cities will be held on June 15 itself during night time except Paris, where it will be held at 11AM on the same date.
OnePlus recently ditched the invite-only model starting from OnePlus 3 including future handsets. Hence, the company is working to introduce the product to customers in a different way by conducting meetups just like LeEco.
Buying offline has its own benefits since you can stay away from the product if it doesn’t meet your expectations. On the other hand, you have to keep whatever product you receive via online since e-commerce companies like Amazon have modified the return policy by removing the refund policy.
OnePlus will be launched on June 14 inside Loop Space station. The company has distributed Loop VR headsets worldwide either for free or for a minimum amount to enable users to experience the launch event. In India, the headset is sold at Re. 1 with additional shipping charges exclusively via Amazon.
