Huami Amazfit GTR Smartwatch launched in India for Rs. 10,999: Specs, Features and Price

Xiaomi-backed Huami on Wednesday unveiled the all-new Huami Amazfit GTR smartwatch for the Indian market. The smartwatch offers nifty features like AMOLED display, optical heart rate scanning, and whopping 24-day battery life. Note that it has been launched in a single 47.2mm size in India, while the 42mm variant is yet to be seen in the country.

Huami Amazfit GTR: Specs & Features

As for the specs, the Huami Amazfit GTR comes with a 1.39-inch (454×454 pixels) circular AMOLED display. The panel flaunts a pixel density of 326ppi and gets Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Furthermore, the watch bears an anti-fingerprint coating on the top. Interestingly, it has also been awarded the IFA Product Technical Innovation Award 2019 for Wearable Applications Innovation at IFA Berlin 2019.

Talking of other features, the Amazfit GTR boasts of a BioTracker & PPG optical sensor that aids for 24-hour continuous accurate heart rate monitoring. Besides, there’s a six-axis accelerometer, 3-axis geomagnetic, capacitive sensor, ambient light brightness sensor, and an air pressure monitor.

The smartwatch features app notifications, incoming call alerts, and gets support for GPS + GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and more. There are a total of 12 dedicated sports modes which include outdoor running, walking, outdoor riding, indoor riding, open water swimming, swimming in the pool, elliptical machine, mountaineering, trail running and more.

Moreover, the GTR also gets a 5ATM water-resistance and a 410mAh Li-polymer battery that is claimed to last 24 days of regular activity and up to 74-days while being used in primary watch mode. Lastly, it measures 47.2 x 47.2 x 10.75mm and weighs about 48 grams.

Price & Availability

The Huami Amazfit GTR price in India has been set at Rs. 10,999 for the lone 47.2mm model. That said, the watch will be available in three different variants, including Titanium, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium Alloy finishes. Plus, users will be able to choose from Cherry Blossom Pink, Moonlight White, Starry Black, Tan and more colour options. The watch will go on sale via Flipkart and Myntra starting Thursday, September 12.
