Lenovo has just launched its activity tracker Smart Band HW01 for INR 1,999 in India.
The band has a silicone strap which is supposed to be skin-friendly. The device has IP65 certification, which means it is water and dust proof.
It has a 0.91-inch OLED display that shows tects, call notification, social media notifications. Its main functtions as a fitness tracker includes recording steps, distance and calories. It also has a dynamic heart rate monitor which displays the heart rate in every 15 minutes.
The USP of this band as claimed by Lenovo is that it has an anti-sleep mode. It sets off an alarm if the user has slept for long. It can also act as an alarm if the user is dozing off while working or driving.
The battery is 85 mAh that could last upto 5 days on a single charge. It is compatible with both Android and iOS. Up against the likes of Mi Band 2 at this price range, the HW01 has all the tools necessary to put up a decent fight. It is up for sale exclusively on Flipkart.
The likes of Mi Band, Sony Smart Band and Fitrist have done quite well in a budget loving market like India. It will be interesting to watch how the HW01 does.
