Samsung officially launches the 2017 Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7 smartphones

Samsung has officially unveiled its 2017 Galaxy A range of smartphones which include the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7. These devices feature a slew changes and upgrades compared to their predecessors.

Just like last year, the 2017 Galaxy A range also features a metal and glass design. However, there are subtle changes and feature upgrades such as a curvier back, an improved camera, and other subtle design changes. Also, the the refreshed Galaxy A smartphones get IP68-certification, making them resistant to dust and water.

Other key changes include USB-Type C connectivity, fast charging, and Always On Display, and a fingerprint sensor. Besides, Samsung has also stated that users will be able to take vibrant photos and selfies with these devices — even in low-light conditions.

Also, the Galaxy A series smartphones will come in Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist and Peach Cloud color options.

2017 Galaxy A Series: Price and availability

The 2017 Galaxy A series will go on sale in Russia early January, and is expected to release in other parts of the globe thereafter.

As far as pricing goes, Samsung is yet officially announce the prices. However, the pre-order prices for Malaysia have been revealed at $380 for the Galaxy A3 and $425 for the Galaxy A5. Besides, other reports suggest that the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A7 would be priced at €329 and €429 in Europe.
