The leading mobile successor and manufacturer, Samsung Electronics, today unveiled the new Galaxy Grand 2 phablet at the press event in Mumbai. The latest in the series of Galaxy smartphones, the 5.25-inch phablet is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Grand, which successfully boomed in the Indian market throughout this year. The Galaxy Grand 2 offers an improved HD viewing experience and powerful multitasking abilities out of the box. The phablet was launched at the hands of an actress Huma Qureshi.
Galaxy Grand 2 features a 5.25-inch 1280×720 pixels HD TFT display (146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9 mm dimension). It offers 8GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card, along with 1.5GB of RAM. On the back, it has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 1.9MP front-facing camera.

Galaxy Grand 2 is equipped with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, along with 2600mAh battery. According to company, this phablet is capable to provide a talk time of 17 hours. It has connectivity options including 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. Galaxy Grand 2 weighs approximately 163g.
Samsung didn’t reveal the final price of the Galaxy Grand 2. However, the price of this device will be between Rs. 22,990 to Rs. 24,990 and it will go on sale in the first week of January 2014.
