Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is all set for a launch today in China and phone’s price gets tipped again ahead of today’s launch. In a new round of leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2’s price has been tipped at $590 (Rs. 39,500 approx.). Now, this comes across as rather bizarre as we’ve never seen Xiaomi devices commanding such a premium price tag. Moreover, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun also suggested earlier the company’s plan to keep the Mi Note 2’s pricing under $300 to attract customers. Hence, the company launching the device at such an outrageous price point seems rather far-fetched.
While earlier this week, the phone’s 4GB variant price was tipped at CNY 2799 (Rs. 27,800 approx) and CNY 2999 (Rs. 29,800) for the 6GB variant. The company is yet to officially confirm the Mi Note 2 pricing, which should likely happen at today’s launch event.
