The Ultimate Ears, a brand by Logitech, has announced an upgrade to their originally released UE Boom bluetooth speakers. The new speaker, UE Boom 2 comes with better promise and will be available in a variety of colours to lighten up the environment, following you anywhere.
Introduced 3 years after the UE Boom, the new Bluetooth speaker is capable of projecting playback sound in all directions. The 360-degree speaker comes with a long connectivity range of 100ft and offers an all-day, all-night battery life of up to 15 hours.
Shaped in the form of a regular water bottle, the UE Boom 2 will fit snugly into the bottle-holder on your backpack or you could strap it on to the side.
With a waterproof body (PX-7) that sports a shatter-proof design against falls measuring under 5ft, the UE Boom 2 is set to change the game for outdoor mobile speaker manufacturers. Intuitive tap control on the speaker, allows the user to skip tracks during playback without having to use their smartphones.
The speaker can also be accessed remotely through the UE Boom 2 app that’s available for iOS and Android devices. If you use another Ultimate Ears speaker, you can connect your smartphone to both simultaneously to increase playback sound considerably.
Apart from controlling playback, you can also wake the speakers wirelessly with the app as well as set a tune to play through the speaker as your alarm tone for the mornings.
All updates for the UE Boom 2 are routed through the mobile application, allowing you to boost functionality when such updates allow support for it.
Ultimate Ears’ UE Boom 2 will be available to purchase from the 5th of May and will be available in 5 colours of BrainFreeze, Tropical, GreenMachine, CHerryBomb and Phantom to choose from.
It will retail for a price of Rs. 15,995 and will be available on Ultimate Ears official website along with more information about it.
