Mercedes-Benz will soon be launching its GLC class in India by June 2. The car will compete with the likes of Audi Q5 and the BMW X3. Although it is yet to launch in the Indian market, Mercedes-Benz GLC has already been test-driven the USA market where it has seen huge success so far.
Mercedes-Benz GLC is the SUV version of the C-class and has some features in common like headlamps and sporty front grille. It also has the same classy interior seen in the C class. In order to give it a tougher look, the new GLC will have plastic cladding and fender accentuation around the SUV. Along with that, it will have LED tail lamps placed horizontally around the rear. In addition to this, Mercedes-Benz GLC will sport the signature Mercedes Benz bumper design with two exhaust tips and a diffuser.
In India, GLC will be wearing a beige interior package and promises to offer consumers the best of experience. If we look at the engine, Mercedes-Benz GLC will have both petrol and diesel run engine. As expected, the engines will be mated to a dual-clutch 9-speed gearbox, whereas a limited number of the GLC will get a 4Matic all-wheel drive. It will also have AirMatic suspension and an off-road assist on the all-wheel drive variant.
Looking at the entire package, this is one of the finest launches by Mercedes-Benz. The all new GLC will be priced between Rs. 35-45 lakh. With this price range, it is looking at creating the same stir in the Indian market as it did in the US market.
