Samsung has reportedly decided to incorporate bezel-less display panel in the forthcoming Galaxy S8. The main purpose of this approach is to attract lost Galaxy Note 7 customers. Based on the latest reports, the Samsung Galaxy S8 models will ship in 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch variants.
According to industry analysts, the Galaxy S8 will be mainly oriented for those customers who are unable to buy Galaxy Note 7 due to its discontinuation. The company would like to tap those customers who lost trust in the company.
In order to attract potential Note consumers who prefer a large screen, Samsung has decided to adopt bigger screens for both new models of the S8
Samsung Galaxy S8 Specifications
Till recently, we have heard that that Samsung Galaxy S8 will flaunt a 5.1-inch display. There are also reports that a large 5.5-inch variant is also expected to be launched. If the latest reports are true, you can expect both 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch variant of Galaxy S8 in February 2017.
Interestingly, the physical design of the handset will not be changed. The enlarged display will be accommodated in a bezel-less design integrated with a home button. Moreover, the larger variant of the Galaxy S8 will be Plus. Hence, you will be able to call it as Galaxy S8 Plus instead of Edge.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date
Samsung is expected to showcase Galaxy S8 during MWC 2017. We expect the phone to be released in China followed by other countries.
Previously, we reported that Galaxy S8 will feature a smart assistant named Bixby, which will have an ability to fetch answers quickly. This is more or less similar to that of Google Assistant in Google Allo messaging software.
