HMD Global has now decided to slash the price of its Nokia 3.1 Plus smartphone in India. The company has also announced the offline availability of Nokia 5.1 Plus for a lower price in the country.
To recall, the Nokia 3.1 Plus was launched back in October for a price of Rs. 11,499 in India. The relatively higher priced 3.1 Plus lost its charm to the aggressively priced Nokia 5.1 Plus that was already present in the market with a notched display.
Hence, from now onwards, the smartphone will be sold at just Rs. 9,999, bearing a total price cut of Rs. 1,500, in online as well as the offline market.
Although the Nokia’s online store hasn’t acknowledged the price change yet, the e-commerce giants- Amazon and Flipkart have already started selling the smartphone at a new price.
Coming to the Nokia 5.1 Plus, the smartphone was recently offered for a discounted price of Rs. 9,999 during Nokia Days Sale on Flipkart (Jan 11- Jan 13). However, it is supposed to be back to the regular pricing from tomorrow.
That being said, the company has now announced to sell it in the offline market as well. Starting Jan 15, the Nokia 5.1 Plus will be sold across all major offline stores, for a price of Rs. 10,599 which is Rs. 400 cheaper than the regular online price of Rs. 10,999. Not to forget, the company recently bought Nokia 6.1 Plus to the offline grounds as well.
