If rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to ship with a 5.7-inch 2K curved display alongside iPhone 6s style 3D Touch support. The handset will be launched on September 14. Even though Meizu had announced plans to launch a smartphone with 3D Touch-enabled functionality, the company hasn’t released anything. Hence, it seems that Xiaomi is gearing up to release a new smartphone with pressure sensitive display. According to sources, it could be Xiaomi Mi Note 2 or the Xiaomi Mi5S.
Recently, Xiaomi smartphone users discovered the presence of the 3D Touch feature. It was hidden deep in the system. However, they are unable to use the 3D touch feature since the hardware is not supported. According to industry analysts, this is a clear indication of the Chinese smartphone company making inroads into the 3D Touch display.
According to the latest leak from Weibo, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to launch on September 14. However, tech analysts are of the opinion that the rumored launch date is not possible since the date is just weeks away.
There are reports that Xiaomi is planning to launch the handset on September 24. But it is highly unlikely since the day is Saturday and the company doesn’t conduct any launch events on weekends.
