Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone P9 will reportedly be launched in India soon. According to sources, the company officials in response to a question on offline markets confirmed that the P9 flagship will be hitting Indian markets sooner than expected, probably next month.
Back in April, Huawei launched the P9 and P9 Plus smartphones in the UK. The company has been bragging about its dual 12MP camera housed at the back, made in collaboration with highly acclaimed camera maker Leica. With the P9, the company is aiming at taking smartphone photography to the next level.
Other key specifications of the smartphone include a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display and Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box with EMUI 4.1 on top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Kirin 955 processor and comes in 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB variants. Though there’s no information whether both these variants will be available in India.
Juicing up the device is a 3000mAh non-removable battery. It also features the latest USB Type C connectivity, 4G connectivity, along with a fingerprint scanner.
In other related news, the company also confirmed that the latest Android Marshmallow update is now rolling out for Honor 5X smartphone in India. In addition, Huawei recently launched the Honor 5C smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 10,999, the smartphone is now available exclusively on Flipkart.
