ASUS is calling out designers all across the country to join the ZenUI Designer Community. ASUS is giving an opportunity to the creative crowd of the country to participate in an open competition for the best ZenUI design. Participants may choose any of the six categories for submission of their designs which are Theme Pack, Keyboard Theme, Sticker Set, PhotoCollage Template, LiveWater Wallpaper and Watchface.
Theme Pack includes lock screen, home screen and wallpaper design for the UI, Keyboard theme comprises of designs for the keyboard for the UI. Watchface is the UI for ASUS smartwatch similarly Sticker Set, PhotoCollage and LiveWater Wallpaper are various eye-candy features of ZenU where participants can express their creativity.
Participants need to sign up with the ZenUI Designer Community page and upload their designs for a chance to get their design featured on ZenUI digital content store. The designer community page also offers PHOTOSHOP templates that the participants can download for working easily on their designs.
The Regional Head of South Asia and Country Manager for ASUS India, Peter Chang expressed his viewpoint on the matter, “At ASUS, we are constantly looking at ways to connect with our users. This initiative will give our patrons a unique chance to become an integral part of our family by designing the user experience. It is a step towards enhancing the user experience and an extension of our promise of making luxury more affordable.”
ASUS ZenUI is known for its simplistic operation and out of the box designs. Through this competition, ASUS can dwell into discovering innovative perspective on the UI front for future Zen devices as well as it will proffer an opportunity to designers to showcase their creative pitching to the world. It is also a great opportunity for young designers to learn the basic techniques involved in designing a UI for smart devices.
