Coolpad Note 3 and Coolpad Note 3 Lite, two emerging smartphones available in Indian market that offer better features than its competitors. Recently, Coolpad launched a Lite version of its popular Note 3 smartphone with trimmed display and fingerprint sensor at Rs. 6,999.
Touted as manufactured under Make in India initiative, Coolpad tied up with Videocon to make use of its facility to assemble Coolpad Note 3 Lite.
While Coolpad Note 3 boasts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 267 ppi priced at Rs. 8,999, Coolpad Note 3 Lite, available at Rs. 6,999 features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 294 ppi.
Coolpad Note 3 will be suitable for advanced users and for those who require big display. The 5.5-inch display will be useful for ebook reading, app navigation, shopping and for viewing images from the gallery.
Coolpad Note 3 Lite will be useful for beginners and senior citizens who just require a smartphone loaded with the latest version of Android. The handset, because of its portable size, is easy to carry as well.
Coming to specifications, Coolpad Note 3 is equipped with a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek 6753 processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card). The Lite variant, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor and features the same amount of RAM and storage with the capability for expansion up to 32GB.
Both Coolpad Note 3 and Note 3 Lite packs a 13-megapixel primary camera with features such as autofocus, LED flash, and face detection in addition to a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.
With 3000 mAh non-removable battery powering Coolpad Note 3, the Note 3 Lite variant accompanies a slightly lesser battery with a 2500mAh battery. Moreover, Coolpad Note 3 is 13 grams heavier than Note 3 Lite.
As far as connectivity features are concerned, both variants provide support for dual-SIM, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM and sensors such as Proximity, Ambient light, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
If you compare other competing smartphones, Coolpad emerges as a winner. For example, Redmi 2 is priced at Rs. 6,999 but it offers only 4.7-inch display whereas Coolpad Note 3 Lite offers a 5-inch display for the same amount which makes it a clear winner among budget smartphone segment.

If you budget is low, you can purchase Coolpad Lite. Otherwise, you should invest for Coolpad Note 3 because of its big display. However, the lite variant looks more attractive and cool than the original Note 3.
