Yu Televentures will launch its latest addition to their existing flagship tomorrow 31st May in New Delhi. According to news, the upcoming smartphone ‘Yu Yunicorn’ will be a refreshed version of its predecessor, the ‘Yu Yutopia’.
The ‘Yu Yutopia’ is currently available in the market at a price of Rs. 24,999. As of now, there are no specifications regarding the upcoming ‘Yu Yunicorn’ have been announced by the Micromax owned company. The only information available about the new phone is that it will be available exclusively through Flipkart.
Earlier in April, the company launched a mid-priced phone ‘Yu Yureka’. The smartphone is available for a price of Rs. 13,499, comes along with a 6-inch full-HD display screen, is powered by a MediaTek MT 6753T octa-core processor and houses 3GB of internal RAM.
The rear side of the phone sports a fingerprint sensor and a 13MP camera lens. The front of the phone comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 5MP lens for video calls. The ‘Yu Yureka’ is fashioned with dual-speakers with NXP Smart PA.

The device runs on Android’s Lollipop 5.1.1 and comes with a number of features including Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, prioritization of contacts and voice search capabilities. The smartphone also comes along with a whopping 4,000mAh battery that provides for long usage cycles.

From the television commercial aired last night, the ‘Yu Yunicorn’ seems to have a physical home-button at the center right below the display of the phone. The home-button may double up as a fingerprint sensor too. The back of the phone is seen with a camera lens in the middle. The top of the phone is seen with a 3.5mm headphone jack while the bottom has perforations for the speaker as well as a USB Type-C port.
Rumors suggest that the ‘Yu Yunicorn’ will sport a Helio X10 octa-core processor along with 4GB of RAM. On the software front it is said to have the latest version of Android Marshmallow running out of the box.
