Xiaomi will launch two devices on July 27, and it is speculated to be Mi Notebook and the 4th Generation Redmi Note. It has announced that a gala event is planned for July 27, and the venue will be the China National Convention Center in Beijing.
Some details of the notebook from the Chinese giant surfaced nearly seven months ago. Most of the specs are just as it was reported but with some minor changes.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Specs
It is estimated that there will be two versions of the Mi Notebook- one with an 11-inch screen and other with a 12.5-inch display. The 12.5-inch version will feature a Full HD display without touchscreen support.
The device will feature a 64-bit Intel Skylake U-Series Core i7 processor and is clocked at 2.50 GHz and it will be on par with Apple’s MacBook Air in terms of size. The processor is integrated with the HD Graphics 520 which will work with a dedicated GeForce 820M. The processing power is enough to handle 2015 games smoothly but at low settings.
The Mi Notebook runs on Windows 10 OS platform and boasts an 8GB RAM. The charger is much akin to Matebook, which uses a USB Type-C with maximum charge power at 65W (20V/3.25A).The company has applied for two patents, one for its intelligent charging adaptor and the second is pertaining to thermal processing method and apparatus.
No information is available about the prices of the devices though experts say that it will be much less than its similar counterparts. Many hope that it costs less than $400. One major competitor will be Lenovo with i7 which costs $500.
Talking about the Redmi Note 4, the smartphone will feature a dual camera setup. It will have an Helio X20 SoC. If true, it will be the first Xiaomi’s Android Smartphone with dual camera setup.
