Vodafone has announced another plan targeted to student oriented users domain. The plan is known as ‘Vodafone Campus Survival Kit’ under which students will be benefited with unlimited calls and 1GB data/day for 84 days. This offer will cost Rs. 445 and can only be activated when students buy a new connection. Vodafone is planning to roll out this scheme across India in a phased manner.
Further, when the offer ends in above mention validity period, students can avail the same benefit under the subsequent recharges of Rs 352. Vodafone current scheme of Rs 349 is offering users 1GB data/day with 1200 minutes of calls/week with a validity period of 84 days. However, when the plan ends, the survival kit buyers can avail the benefit with Rs 352 recharge.
Commenting on the launch of current offer, Vodafone India, Delhi business head, Alok Verma said: “The survival kit is for Rs 445, it includes discount booklet from Ola, Zomato, and others, valid for 84 days, post the expiration, 352 recharge will give them the same benefits.” Vodafone India National Head for consumer marketing, Arvind Nevatia said: “This plan will be rolled out across India. However, the recharge value may differ from circle to circle,”
Vodafone current offering is targeting its biggest rival Jio, which is offering the same benefit under Rs. 399 recharge with unlimited calls, 1GB data, SMS and free roaming. But the data connection speed is something in which Jio has the upper hand and is currently having the largest consumer base in the country. So to beat Jio in that aspect, Vodafone has to enhanced and stabilized network connectivity, especially in the peak hours with more added benefits.
