Design

SondOne V8 are very sturdy looking headphones with matte black finish all over; the headband have rubberized feel over and rubber material inside. The right ear cup has the power and music control buttons. Also the 3.5 mm audio port and microUSB charging port are below the right earcup.

The earcups are retractable and also foldable which can be folded into a very compact space to carry it anywhere. The earcups are soft, made out of suitable material and are removable so it can be replaced. Because of the retractable design, the SoundOne V8 headphones fit perfectly on the head with the soft material under the headband.

Performance

SoundOne V8 sounds good with wide bass and crystal clear sound quality. The overall output of the drivers is meager which really disappointed me a lot. What impressed me, is the quality of the bass it delivers with crisp sound quality. The sound feels pretty good even at full volume the sound never hurts the ears. The isolation on these headphones are not very good, the sound leaks at total volume.

The earcups on SoundOne V8 have a very soft cushion which covers whole ears perfectly. The controls are a little congested, and it is not easy to press the right button. The aux cable to connect the headphones wirelessly is short and not long enough to connect to a desktop PC. The headphones charge faster and take only two hours to load fully. It plays music seamlessly for more than ten hours at maximum volume.

Pros

  • Foldable design
  • Long playback hours
  • Wide bass

Cons

  • Bulky design
  • Controls are bit congested

Verdict

The SoundOne V8 are great headphones for one who wants over the ear headphones with long playback hours. The foldable design of the headphones makes it an excellent companion for the backpack while traveling. There is no color variant to choose from; it comes in the matte black finish on the headband and the earcups. The SoundOne V8 is available to buy online from Amazon with a price tag of Rs. 2,199.
