We’ve witnessed quite a lot of reports concerning the fact that the Korean giant Samsung is working on a fresh M-series of mid-range smartphones. Now, a new smartphone dubbed as Samsung Galaxy M10 has passed FCC, revealing some of its key specifications.
The Samsung Galaxy M10 could be the first handset in its line-up. The new series is likely to comprise other monikers like Galaxy M20, M30, and M40. If reports are to be believed, the company is further planning to re-organise the Galaxy A-series.
According to the FCC listing, the Samsung Galaxy M10 will reportedly arrive with a 6.02-inch display (which we think will be an HD+ Infinity panel). The overall diagonal size of the front panel is 6.5-inches.Under the hood, it’ll be powered by the Exynos 7870 SoC, coupled with Mali-T830 GPU. The Exynos 7870 is an octa-core chipset manufactured on 14nm FinFet process and clocked at 1.6GHz. We’ve seen it previously on smartphones like Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018) and A6 (2018).
Moving on, the device will be offered with 3GB RAM alongside 16GB and 32GB storage variants. It’ll also incorporate a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion.
The FCC listing also hints at a 3,400mAh battery and Android 8.1 Oreo OS. The phone will measure 155.7×75.8mm and support connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, 802.11 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.
Previous rumours suggest that the Samsung Galaxy M10 will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter. The handset will be available in Blue and Dark Grey colour options with a fingerprint scanner placed at the back.
Samsung Galaxy M10 Price and Launch (Expected)
Looking at the specifications, it is clear that the Galaxy M10 is going to be a budget offering. Following the same, we can expect it to arrive under Rs. 15,000 in the market. The smartphone is said to make its global debut with India in the first quarter of 2019. Stay tuned for more updates.
