Apple released the much-anticipated iPhone SE at a launch event in Cupertino. However, iPhone 6S, released in September 2015 is currently the popular Apple device available in the market. In this article, we will compare both the devices.

The first factor which you should consider before investing for a smartphone is its display. While iPhone SE comes with a 4-inch LED IPS display with a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels and pixel density of 326 ppi, the iPhone 6S boasts a 4.7-inch LED IPS display with a higher resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels with the same number of pixel density as SE.

Surprisingly, iPhone 6S also features Ion-strengthened glass with force touch display and oleophobic coating, which is absent in the latest iPhone SE.

Even though both iPhone SE and iPhone 6S are equipped with Apple A9 chipset with dual-core 1.84GHz Twister processor, the iPhone 6S comes with iOS 9, which is upgradeable to iOS 9.3. The iPhoneSE, on the other hand, comes ready with the latest iOS 9.3.

A noticeable difference in both the smartphones is that iPhone 6S offers a 128GB storage model in addition to 16GB and 64GB variants in 6S and SE. Inside the devices, both iPhone 6S and SE packs the same 2GB RAM.

While iPhone SE comes with a 1.2MP front-facing camera, the iPhone 6S is equipped with a 5MP front snapper. Both models feature a 12MP primary camera with f/2.2, 29mm, phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash.

Coming to other specifications, both iPhone SE and iPhone 6S offers support for fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, Siri, iCloud services, Maps and others. Moreover, the iPhone 6S has an increased battery compared to iPhone SE, which has a 1,642mAh battery.

It is to be specially noted that iPhone SE comes with Always-on Hey Siri, which means you can work with it irrespective of whether you are charging the device or not.

As widely rumored over the last few months, the iPhone SE comes with a Rose Gold variant, which is already available with iPhone 6S including Space Gray, Silver, and Gold color variants.

While Apple iPhone 6S is priced at Rs. 40,499 for 16GB model, the base variant of iPhone SE will be available starting at Rs. 39,000.
