OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 3T smartphone in the US for $439. The smartphone is a slightly upgraded version of the original OnePlus 3 flagship announced back in June, featuring a slew of noticeable upgrades. The device was launched in the US on November 22, while users in Europe can order the OnePlus 3T starting November 28. Now, the company’s India GM has confirmed its exact launch date in the country, which happens to be December 2.
As already mentioned, the OnePlus 3T gets a slew of upgrades over its flagship counterpart launched earlier. It packs the latest Snapdragon 821 processor, an upgraded front camera, and gets the all new new gun-metal color variant. In addition, it also gets a 128GB built-in storage variant, though we’re not sure if both variants will go on sale in India.

OnePlus 3T: Specs and Features
Key specifications on the smartphone include a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood, the smartphone gets fueled by the latest Snapdragon 821 processor bundled with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. Besides, it comes in both 64GB/128GB storage options, as opposed to the OnePlus 3 that only came with 64GB of built-in storage.
In terms of optics, the smartphone packs the same 16MP primary camera with Sony IMX298 sensor,PDAF, OIS, along with 4k video support. It also gets the ability to process images in RAW format. On the front, the OnePlus 3T packs the upgraded 16MP selfie shooter with Samsung P8SP sensor and f/2.0 aperture. It also supports EIS, auto-focus, PDAF, along with the ability to record Full HD videos at 30 fps.
The device also gets a slightly beefier 3400 mAh battery, compared to the 3000mAh battery of the OnePlus 3. It gets fast charging support with the company’s proprietary Dash Charging technology.
In terms of OS, the OnePlus 3T runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with the company’s Oxygen UI on top. Other features key features of the smartphone include a USB Type-C charging port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, along with 4G LTE (Cat 6) support. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, GLONASS and BeiDou. The device is offered in a choice of two color options – Soft Gold and the all-new Gunmetal color variant.
OnePlus is yet to officially announce the phone’s India-specific pricing details, though we’ll know more in about a week’s time. The company recently started shipping the OnePlus 3T to US customers. The device is priced at $439 in the US, while in the EU it will be priced at €439.
