This means that these devices lack services from Google which shall be replaced by their local counterparts. HMD is also offering custom ROM on both these smartphones to align with the preferences of Chinese customers.
Apart from revealing the release date of the devices, MyDrivers has also leaked a screenshot of what looks like a detailed picture of the prices of Nokia 9. The screenshot shows that the Nokia 9 that houses a 6GB RAM with 64GB storage shall go on sale in China at a price of CNY 3,699 which comes down to INR 36,000. The alternate version of the phone with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is available at CNY 4,199 which is close to INR 40,900. If rumors are to be believed, the Nokia 9 shall house a 5.5-inch QHD display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The phone also houses a curved-glass display which is similar to Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The handset would also feature a rear fingerprint scanner with a dual-camera setup. The phone shall also run on Android 8.1.2 Oreo.
Nokia 8(2018) is also somewhat similar to Nokia 9 which houses a Snapdragon 835 SoC processor and also the Android Oreo experience. The predecessor of Nokia 8(2018) which is Nokia 8 (2017) is available to be updated to Android Oreo. This would let the smartphone upgrade with a list of features that include Picture-in-Picture mode, enhanced menu settings, and notification dots as well. The new update also carries a November security patch.
