Realme, the Oppo sub-brand has upped the ante in the Indian smartphone segment with a new device that offers far better specs than its competitors in the mid-range segment.
Christened Realme 1, the phone packs in the world’s first 12nm AI CPU MediaTek Helio P60 CPU coupled to a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of ROM. The company also revealed the new gen processor allows for 50 percent performance increment while being 25 percent more frugal with the battery juice.
Realme said the processor comes embedded with AI Shot Technology that makes it perfect for a variety of tasks though the primary application of it has been in the field of photography. Users can look forward to such tasks as real-time beautification, real-time video previews and such with perfect ease with the new Realme 1.
The above specs have also been the exclusive domain of premium flagship phones so far though with the new Realme 1, the standards has been set afresh. All of this rings particularly true given that the highest rated Realme 1 with 6 GB RAM/ 128 GB ROM is priced INR 13,990. The phone will be available in Diamond Black and Solar Red colour options.
The entry level version will come with 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB ROM and will sell for INR 8,990. Color options include Diamond Black, Solar Red. Both the above version will be available from May 24 from Amazon India.
A third mid-range variant with 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB ROM will also be in the offing and will set one back INR 10,990. The version will however be available in June with color options ranging from Moonlight Silver to Diamond Black.

The rest of the specs include a 6.0-inch FHD+ Full Screen display of 18:9 aspect ratio, 3410mAh battery, along with Android 8.1 and ColorOS 5.0 combo right out of the box. The phone also comes with a rear 13 MP and front 8 MP camera as well. The phone also boasts of a unique ‘Art of Light’ design in Diamond black which means there is ample beauty to go with the performance.
