Motorola has now launched a new entry-level smartphone dubbed as Moto E6s today in India. The device runs stock Android Pie and touts a removable back panel, MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, and a water-drop notch display as its main highlights. For starters, the E6s is essentially a rebranded version of the Moto E6 Plus, introduced last month at IFA 2019. Let’s now talk about its specifications and features in detail.

The Motorola Moto E6s comes with a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels. As noted, the panel touts a waterdrop notch, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 80 per cent screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood, the phone gets powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor, clocked at 2.0GHz. It is further coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded further via a MicroSD card up to 512GB.
For photography, the E6s gets a dual-camera setup at the rear. the module comprises of a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, 1.12-micron pixel, and auto-focus support. Besides, there’s a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for collecting depth information. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture, housed in the water-drop notch.
On the software front, the device runs stock Android 9 Pie. However, Motorola hasn’t clarified anything regarding Android 10 update yet. Connectivity features onboard include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro USB. All of this is backed by a 3000mAh removable battery that supports 10W standard charging.
The phone also comes with P2i water-repellent nano-coating, seen previously on Redmi 7. Lastly, the phone measures 155.6x 73.1x 8.6mm and weighs quite light a 149.7g.
Price & Availability
The Moto E6s is priced at Rs. 7,999 in India for the lone model with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The phone will be available in Rich Cranberry and Polished Graphite colours via Flipkart starting from September 23. Launch offers include Rs. 2200 cashback in the form of vouchers for Jio users and Cleartrip vouchers worth Rs. 3,000.
