Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:MSFT) will introduce the Lumia 950 XL in India over the next couple of months. The CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella made the announcement at the Future Unleashed event that is being held in Mumbai.
The Lumia 950 and 950 XL are the two latest offerings by Microsoft which run the Windows 10 OS. The Lumia 950 XL, codenamed Cityman features a 5.7″ 2560×1440 pixels resolution screen with 518 PPI pixel density.
The Lumia 950 XL runs on a Octa-core 2GHz Snapdragon 810 with 3GB RAM. The phone features a 20MP PureView with Zeiss optics rear shooter and a 5MP front camera.
The device comes equipped with a 3340 mAh battery and 32GB internal storage. The internal storage is expandable up to 200GB via microSD card support.
With the launch of Lumia 950 XL, Microsoft also introduced certain notable features such as iris-scanning technology that allows users to unlock phone by simply looking at it.
Some other nifty features include a variable antenna that adjusts to the frequency depending on the best frequency available at that location.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is expected to be priced at Rs 42,999 in India. However, the official confirmation is yet to be received from the company.
