Chinese manufacturer Meizu has sent media invites for an event in China on December 6, where the company is said to launch the upcoming Meizu M5 Note smartphone. The device was recently spotted in China by TENNA.
Key specifications on the Meizu M5 Note include a 5.5-inch Full HD display. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to get powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor bundled with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. In terms of memory and storage, the Meizu M5 Note is said to come in three variants – 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, and 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage.
Besides, all three variants will feature a microSD slot to further expand storage to up to 128GB. Also, there’ll be differences in battery capacities depending upon the variant. For instance, the 16GB and 32GB storage models feature a 3920mAh battery , while the top-of-the-line 64GB model packs a 4000mAh battery. The smartphone is tipped to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Also, the smartphone is expected to get a fingerprint sensor that doubles as a Home button.
As far as cameras are concerned, the Meizu M5 Note is said to feature a 13MP primary camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera for taking selfies and video chats. In terms if build and design, the Meizu M5 Note features a metal unibody design with subtly curved edges. The smartphone is also expected to be made available in Black and White color options.
The company has also mentioned in the media invite that it has managed to sell 20 million smartphones from its Note series. The invite also mentions the earlier launched Meizu Note 3, which will reportedly be stopped manufacturing once the upcoming Meizu M5 Note goes on sale.
