Indian smartphone manufacturer Karbonn has just launched a budget Android phone. Called the Karbonn Titanium Mach One, the new phone will retail for only Rs. 6990.

According to sources, the new phone from Karbonn will be available exclusively from Snapdeal.com and will come in three different colors: White – Sliver, White – Gold, and Black Blue. The phone features a 4.7-inch IPS display that has a 720p HD resolution.

Under the hood, Karbonn Titanium Mach One packs a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM. For gaming and graphics needs, it has a Mali-400 MP2 GPU. The phone comes with 8 GB on board storage which can be expanded up to 32 GB using a microSD memory card.

On the camera end, the Karbonn Titanium Mac One has an 8MP shooter with LED flashlight on the back and 5 MP camera on the front for clearer selfies. The battery is, however, a bit low with 1800 mAh. The phone has 3G connectivity so users will be able to take advantage of the faster mobile internet networks across India.

Possibly the best thing about the new Karbonn phone is that it runs on Android KitKat out of the box. Even better news is, Karbonn says it will be upgraded to Android Lollipop, the latest version of Android operating system that features fluid animations and bright colors. Despite the phone being available at a relatively low cost, it will pack some neat features including a ‘Smart Lock Screen’ feature that allows users see and interact with notifications right from the lock screen.

Another feature that users will find interesting is called ‘Gesture Mode’ which lets users easily access their favorite apps. Even more interesting is the ‘Smart Eye Gesture’ that tracks the user’s eyes and pauses a running video whenever the user looks away from the screen.

Titanium Mach One supports up to 21 local languages including regional languages. For Rs. 6990, some might say this would be a great purchase if you’re on the market for a budget Android phone that doesn’t sacrifice greatness.
