Hyve Mobility, a New Delhi-based mobility startup, launched two new Android-based smartphones on June 15 – Hyve Buzz and Hyve Storm. Both the smartphones fall under budget category with Hyve Buzz priced at Rs. 13,999 and Hyve Storm coming at Rs. 8,499. The 4G-enabled devices will be available on Flipkart and Amazon starting June 22.
Sharad Mehrotra, Co-Founder & CEO of Hyve, stated at the launch, “We are glad to launch our first set of smartphones today. They are a great balance of amazing hardware specs, pure Android, and support value proposition”.
Hyve Buzz
The Hyve Buzz is powered by the MediaTek 1.5GHz octa-core processor and a 3GB RAM bundled with MALI T720 Graphics. It has a 5.5 inch HD 2.5D Arc Glass display enabled with MediaTek MiraVision. It has an internal memory of 48GB with an option of expanding up to 144 GB. The phone runs on stock Android 5.1 Lollipop
Interestingly, the phone also comes with an IPX 4 rating (water resistance) and sports a USB Type-C with fast charging. The rear camera is a 13MP shooter, while the front has a 5MP cam for the picture enthusiasts while the modest 2500mAh battery is not bad at all. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. At a competitive price of Rs. 13,999, Hyve Buzz is all set to entice prospective buyers.
Hyve Storm
The other smartphone by the company, Hyve Storm, packs mediocre specs but is still a value for money device at Rs. 8,499. Storm is powered by a 2GB RAM and a MediaTek 1.3GHz Quad-core processor. A display of the device is 5-inch HD and it comes with a 2000mAh battery. It has 16GB storage with an option of expanding up to 80GB.
The back camera is a 13MP shooter, while the front camera is a 5MP snapper with ISOCELL. The device runs on stock Android 5.1 Lollipop. Connectivity options are same in Storm as that of Buzz, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS.
