HTC U Ultra is all set for an unveiling alongside two other smartphones on January 12. Not much has been revealed about the smartphone, though a new leak has surfaced online which details all the key specs of the upcoming HTC flagship.
HTC U Ultra: Leaked Specifications
According to the leak, the HTC U Ultra is said to pack a 6-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor bundled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage.
The leak also mentions a dual camera setup for the upcoming HTC U Ultra. The smartphone is said to feature 24MP+13MP sensors on the back. On the front, the handset is expected to come with an 8MP selfie shooter. While juicing up the smartphone could be a 4000mAh battery. Other rumored features include a fingerprint scanner on the back.
While past leaks suggest that the HTC U Ultra will feature the new USB-Type C standard. HTC is also said to ditch the standard 3.5mm jack with its next flagship. Besides, HTC’s upcoming flagship is also said to come in Black, Blue, and White color options with more colors to follow after launch.
HTC to announce two new mid-range phones along with the U Ultra flagship
A recent report also claimed that HTC plans to announce three new smartphones in Q1 2017 – the HTC U Ultra, HTC U Play, and HTC One X10. Out of three the HTC U Ultra is said to be the company’s next flagship, while the other two are expected to be mid-range Android smartphones.
The HTC U Play’s rumored specs include a 5.2-inch Full HD display. While powering the handset would be the MediaTek MT6755 processor, commonly known as Helio P10. The device is also rumored to pack 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Besides, it is expected to feature a 16MP primary camera along with a 16MP front-facing shooter.
While reports indicate that the HTC One X10 is expected to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, and run a a 1.9GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6755 processor bundled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. Both of them are said to be mid-range Android smartphones expected to be unveiled alongside the flagship the HTC U Ultra.
The official unveiling is just a few days away on January 12. In the meantime, readers are advised to take this information with a pinch of salt as official details will be revealed during the launch event.
