HTC has recently sent out media invites for a launch event in New Delhi, which is slated for 25th of November, 2015. The cryptic invite reads: “you are invited____ 25.11.2015,” giving no clue about what the company is planning to launch on upcoming Wednesday. But rumours are supporting the launch of HTC One A9.
The company had actually used the same backdrop for the teaser of HTC One A9’s unveiling on October 20th in the US, UK and China.
Looking at the specialisation of HTC One A9, the cofounder and chairperson of HTC Corporation – Cher Wang said, “This device would be the Taiwanese company’s ‘Hero Smartphone’.”
The One A9 is a mid-end premium smartphone, which looks quite similar to Apple iPhone 6 apart from the rear camera placement.
The HTC One A9 is equipped with a 5-inch FHD display with screen resolution of 1980 x 1080 pixels, which is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, Octa-core 64-bit (4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) processor.
Paired with 2GB and 3GB of RAM, the handset offers 16GB and 32GB of internal storage respectively, which can be expanded up to 2TB.
The HTC One A9 sports a 13MP main camera with sapphire cover lens, autofocus, OIS, BSI sensor. There’s an UltraPixel front camera.
On the battery front, the handset includes 2,150 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support (forward compatible with Quick Charging 3.0 with the future software upgrade) as well as a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.
Apart from the latest Nexus devices, the HTC One A9 is the only handset that runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under the HTC Sense UI.
Connectivity-wise, the HTC One A9 comes with 4G LTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS, micro-USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm stereo audio jack.

The HTC One A9 will be available in different color options i.e. Carbon Grey, Opal Silver, Deep Garnet, and Topaz Gold.
