HTC is preparing for a massive launch in New Delhi for its smartphone HTC 10 tomorrow, at an expected price of Rs. 46,000. It was launched globally back in April, but it will be available for Indian market within next few days. This device is said to be the comeback device for the company in the smartphone market.

The other phones in the same league include Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 edge and LG G5. The device features a 5.2 inch 2K display, powered by 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Much like the other devices in the league it has a 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, expandable upto 2TB (the maximum capacity SD card available in the market is 200GB). Like the iPhone, this one has a fingerprint scanner in the home button (that can unlock the device in 0.2 seconds), well supported by Android 6.0. The fingerprint sensor is reportedly smart, as it gets better and quicker at recognising fingerprints with time.

Other HTC 10 specifications include:

  • A 12 MP rear camera
  • 5 MP front camera
  • Optical image stabilization
  • Laser autofocus
  • 3000 mAh battery
  • USB Type-C charging
  • 4G LTE support

The Taiwanese makers have invited the Indian media for the launch, without any mention about the specifications of the device. However, most of the specifications are already known to the media and public, given that the product has been selling abroad for over a month.

The recent plunge in the market share for HTC almost put it out of competition. Considering that this is its comeback device, one would not be surprised if the launch comes with new features specific to the Indian market. The price seems to be slightly lower than its major competitors, however the LG G5 has an added advantage of modules, and that increases the attraction towards it.
