Flipkart has marked an achievement of having sold over ten lakh products within ten hours on the first day of its Big Billion Days sale. A few hours ago, Flipkart made an announcement regarding this milestone via Twitter.
As the festive season is approaching, Flipkart embarked its second edition of the Big Billion Days sale starting today. The sale witnessed satisfactory deals and offers on products across various categories.
Flipkart claims over six million visits across the country with around twenty-five products sold every second. The company recorded a huge response from cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi and Chennai.

Speaking about some of the non-metro Indian cities, Ludhiana, Lucknow and Bhopal came out as the chart toppers for the opening day of the Big Billion Days sale.

Categories such as footwear and men’s clothing turned out to be remarkably urged during the fashion sale so far.

Considering the kind of response Flipkart has received so far, the company is expecting to increase the numbers by the end of the day.
However, the app-only sale strategy seems to have worked conveniently for the company as Flipkart did also witness over 1.5 million app installs in the last two days.
