Italian bike manufacturer Ducati has launched the ‘Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak‘ model in India. It will be available across the company’s authorized dealerships in Delhi, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune and Bengaluru.
Priced at Rs 20.6 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the bike is inspired by Ducati’s past victory in the famous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado, one of the most challenging hill climb races in the world.
Under the hood, the bike gets powered by the Testastretta DVT L-Twin engine which boasts a displacement of 1198.4cc. It churns out 158hp at 9500rpm and 136Nm of torque at 7500rpm. The Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak packs a host of new features such as Cornering ABS, Cornering Lights on the full-LED headlight, Ducati Wheelie Control, traction and cruise control among others.
The bike also comes equipped with Ducati multimedia system with Bluetooth connectivity which lets riders pair the bike with their smartphones to perform key multimedia functions via the buttons on the switchgear.
The body has been upgraded with high-performance equipment such as fully- adjustable Ohlins front fork, TTX36 rear shock, and Ducati’s Performance Termignoni exhaust system. It also uses several lightweight carbon fiber components further to enhance the design and look of the motorbike.
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 Pikes Peak Edition flaunts white red and black livery. The special edition adventure tourer will also be available in Ducati showrooms across the country.
