Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL are officially available for sale without any need to pre-order the phone. This means you can directly order from Google Store depending upon the stock availability if you are in the US.
If you are in India, you can directly order from Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay sales, ezone, Hotspot, Sangeetha, Poorvika and Bajaj electronics.
Even though there is a problem with the stock availability for over two weeks, you can still grab few models of the Pixel such as 32GB black and 128GB black and silver variants. After opening pre-orders, customers found it hesitant to place orders because the average shipping time was 3 to 4 weeks.

Verizon is keeping stock of Pixel and Pixel XL in stores starting today. However, you can guarantee the specific model you want by ordering online instead of with fast shipping. As of writing this, Verizon has stocks of 32GB and 128GB storage variants of Pixel handsets.
Coming to Google Pixel XL, the stock availability is little difficult. You will not find Pixel XL on the Google Store since it is already out of stock. If you look at Verizon, they have 32GB silver and black models. However, if you want blue or 128GB, you have to wait until November 18. Best Buy has few units of the phone but customers are waiting since last one month after placing pre-order.
If you are concerned about the color and storage options, you can walk into your nearest retailer, experience the Pixel handsets and buy it. This is because e-commerce retailers in India will not accept returns unless they are defective. Since the handsets are expensive, it makes sense to have a look at the product before investment.
