The Huawei P9 with dual lens Leica camera is still in the fresh memory of smartphone lovers and Huawei is planning to roll out another flagship by the end of this year, Huawei Mate 9. A teaser image of the upcoming smartphone has surfaced which reveal major details of the high-end smartphone.
The image leak confirms that the Huawei Mate 9 will feature a Huawei P9 like the dual camera and it would be 20MP. It also speaks of Huawei Mate 9 packing Kirin 960 chipset. If the reports turn out to be true, the Mate 9 will be the first phone to boast HiSilicon’s Kirin 960 processor, which is likely to be built on 16nm architecture. Meanwhile, there are no details about the processor, but it is anticipated to be octa-core with four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53s cores.

This revelation firms the belief that the Mate 9 will feature a dual camera of 20MP as it is in line with the previous rumors surrounding the phone. As in Huawei P9, the dual camera on this phone would also be certified by Leica, says the reports. Going by what the images say, there will be two dual cameras in vertical position and a fingerprint sensor just below it. Other specifications of the smartphone include Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s own Emotion UI 5.0 atop, and 6GB of RAM.

If we recall, the Mate 7 launched in October 2014, and its successor Huawei Mate 8 made a debut in November last year. Considering the launch pattern of Huawei, we are expecting Mate 9 to launch in December this year. Surely, the Mate 9 specs and features will be higher than the previous generation Mate series.
Let’s talk about we saw in Huawei Mate 8. The Mate 8 had a 6-inch FHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset with Mali-T880MP4 GPU, 16MP primary camera, 8MP secondary shooter, and a 4,000 mAh Li-Po battery.
