Meizu has launched the M3E in China and it is the first smartphone by the company under the E-series in China. The device features some minor changes but looks much similar to the Meizu MX6, which was launched recently in China. It is the second smartphone which features the YunOS. The device bears a unibody Aluminum body with the 2.5D glass on the front. The M3E has been launched by Meizu at an event in China.

Meizu M3E comes with a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1080p with 450 nits brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio.The device runs on an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and complemented by YunOS with Flyme UI on top. It features the Mali T860 GPU. The device has 3GB RAM with an internal storage of 32 GB which can be augmented to 128GB with the provision of microSD slot.
The device features a primary 13 MP camera coupled with phase detection autofocus abilities for lightning fast focus in less than 0.2 seconds. The camera is ably complemented with Sony IMX258 sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. The M3E comes in Gold, Silver, Gray, Glacial Blue and Golden colors.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The device dimensions measure 153.6 x 75.8 x 7.9 mm and weighs a mere 172 grams
The device carries a price tag of 1299 yuan which comes to about Rs. 13,045 approx. The device is available for order in China and will hit the shelves on August 14th.
The current flagship of Meizu is the Meizu PRO 6 though many will contend that Meizu PRO 5 is still the official flagship. The Pro 6 was introduced in April, and the company will surely need a more endowed smartphone to rub shoulders with flagships of other companies. Confirming rumors that Meizu will introduce a more powerful device in August, the company introduced the Meizu M3E along with all the rumored specs including the ‘Dual Edge’ display.
