Xiaomi is making proper use of Indian Republic Day. The company earlier announced that it would hold three-day sales of its much-anticipated Xioami Note 4G phablet. But they recently announced on Facebook that users will also get the chance to buy Xiaomi Mi3, a smartphone with heavy demand, on January 26.

To get the phone, users will have to go through a number of steps on the web. They will have to like Xiaomi’s official Facebook page first, share the post that Xiaomi India posted about the offer with minimum 3 friends, and then go to Xiaomi India website’s promotional page and register with their email address at 12 PM IST on Monday.

Xiaomi said that users will need to have an account on Flipkart before doing all these. The email address used for registering at Xiaomi India’s website must match the email address with the user’s Flipkart account.

Users will have only two hours to register their email address with Xiaomi. If succeeded, Xiaomi will automatically find your Flipkart account associated with the email address you registered, and place a brand new Xioami Mi3 on your cart by 5pm on the same day.

Just in case you need a reminder, the Xiaomi Mi3 is a mid-range yet high configuration smartphone that boasts 5-inch full HD display with 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB of RAM.

It packs Adreno 330 GPU, 16 GB storage with microSD expansion slot, 13 MP rear and 2 MP front camera and 3050 mAh battery to back it up all. It sells for Rs. 13,999.

Xiaomi Mi3 has gone up for sales a number of times in India, but because of a complex ‘flash sales’ model that the company follows, which not to mention works enormously well for the company, has left many customers in dissatisfaction as they were unable to bag themselves a unit.

For those who have been waiting for a Xiaomi Mi3, this news comes as a bit of a surprise, and in a good way. But if you’re in the market for an even higher-end smartphone, you might want to wait a few more weeks until Xiaomi launches its next flagship phone, Xiaomi Mi4.
