Truemessenger- SMS app by Truecaller to filter spam SMS’

Tech Giant Truecaller, a Swedish company has launched Truemessenger application for its users in India on July 8, 2015.

It is initially launched for the devices running on Android to help keep out spam Short messaging services (SMS) from an end user’s phone.

It is designed in such a way that it comes as a substitution app, an automated spam filter which is injected by 150 million strong Truecallers community members present globally, the company expressed in a release on Tuesday.

According to the company report, a total of 15 percent of all messages exchanged globally are spam.

So, it is a need to filter them to provide hassle free experience to the users. Originally launched in India, company has plans to launch it worldwide in near future.

Key features of Truemessenger app will make you fall in love with it. It tells who sent you the SMS (even if the number is not saved in your contacts) and automatically blocks spam, keeping unwanted messages out of your way.

Users can detect, block and even customise filter options with known spam keywords or number series like country codes or area codes. It automatically sends messages to the spam folder, cleaning your inbox.

CEO of Truecaller and also co-founder stated – “With Truemessenger we’ve reimagined the SMS app experience by making it more social and putting control back into the users’ hands so they always know who they are communicating with”.
