Sony launches G Master series lenses starting at Rs 1,29990

Sony India Introduced its new G master brand of interchangeable lenses modeled to provide innovative imaging experience.

The brand includes three newG master full frame lenses including a 24-70mm constant F2.8 standard zoom, an 85mm F1.4 prime, and a 70-200mm constant F2.8 telephoto zoom.

Sony India has taken it to a different level and includes innovative features of technology, design, and calibration.

New FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM Standard Zoom Lens

For those who are interested in portrait, travel and event photography or even simple every day shooting the new FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM Standard Zoom Lens is the ultimate choice.

It has a high power focusing system because of the new set of algorithms positioning the lens element accurately, making it an ideal choice for shooting images as well as movies. Also, the lens is built in a fashion that it is both dust and moisture resistant.

Two new matching filters for the FE24-70mm F2.8 GM lens have also been introduced, including the VF-82MP MC protector and VF-82CPAM Circular PL filter.

It also features a 9-bladed aperture which helps in giving a nearly circular shape at all setting and is coated with Sony’s original Nano AR which suppresses reflection and gives a clarity an absolute contrast.

The lens is available in the market from May 12, 2016, at an MRP of 1,54,990 only.

New FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS Telephoto Zoom Lens

The new FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS Telephoto Zoom has features offering excellent rendering, AF performance, and image stabilisation. Its final features make it the best option for shooting wildlife, sports, wedding and a variety of other events.

Also with the inclusion of elements like XA, Super ED and ED glass components it delivers extraordinary sharpness and clarity.

The new model also has built-in Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilisation for capturing sharp, blur-free subjects at all focal lengths and a rotating tripod mount that allows the camera to be quickly removed from a connected tripod as needed.

To be dust and moisture resistant, it includes 70-200mm telephoto zoom lens, including feature as focus hold button and focal range limiter.

The lens will be available in the market from August 2016, but there has been no revelation in the prize as of yet.

 Telephoto Prime Lens

If one has to go for an ultimate portrait lens, the late FE 85mm F1.4 GM Telephoto Prime Lens is the option one should look for. It is an overall balance between resolution and bokeh in a compact package.

It has a circular aperture with 11 blades that ensures bokeh is smooth and visually appealing.

Externally, the new model has Sony’s first Nano AR Coating, which is of particular importance in a portrait lens as it reduces flare and ghosting, even with backlit subjects or similarly challenging lighting conditions.

Like its counterparts, the lens is also dust and moisture resistant has an aperture ring with on/off switchable click stops that can be adjusted based on whether a user is shooting still images or movies. It also includes the feature AF / MF switch and a focus hold button.

Prized at 1,29,990 it will be available in the market from May 12, 2016. Also, the newly launched products will be available in selected Sony Center, Alpha flagship stores and major electronic stores across India.
