Samsung Electronics has recently launched its flagship premium line-up of QLED TVs in India priced between INR 3,14,900 and INR 24,99,900. The series is aimed at delivering optimum brightness levels and “stunning visual experience.” Samsung has also introduced a pre-order offer of free Galaxy S8+ for Indian customers.
Why QLED
It may come as a surprise, the move from OLED to QLED, since the Korean company’s OLED TV’s have set quite high benchmarks in the industry. However, the Quantum dot technology TV’s deliver 100% color volume (a first in the industry). The added UHD technology provides four times the pixels that are offered by HD TVs. Live TV can now be seen like never before.
As far as accessorizing is concerned, the Samsung One remote not only has voice control but also can direct all the connected devices. So, if Bluetooth speakers are connected to the TV, one can use the Samsung One remote to control it.
Invisible connection
Recent times have seen a huge dip in TV screen viewing time. Hence, the move to a better technology could not have come at a better time for the company. Watching mobile content on TV has now become more seamless with the arrival of this series. To add to it, the “invisible” connection cable ensures a clutter-free experience.
Granted that the series caters to the premium part of the market, but with this, the company has very much clarified its target market segment in India.
As expected, the South-Korean company has not shied away from adding a hint of theatrics to its visuals. Instead of fading away to a black screen, while the TV is not in use, the screen displays images of art.
The QLED series TVs available in 3 series and following screen sizes: Q7- 75 & 88-inches, Q8- 65-inches and Q9- 55-inches.
