Multiple reports suggest that Samsung may have accidentally leaked the upcoming Galaxy S8 flagship in a promotional video posted by Samsung Display, which has now been removed.
The video shows the final design of the much-awaited flagship or some version of the handset. However, the video does not specifically mention that the phone shown in the video is indeed Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone.
That said, the prototype shown in the video is in line with past rumors of the upcoming smartphone. As rumored earlier, the Galaxy S8 is expected to ditch the physical Home button. Instead, the smartphone ‘s Home Button will be embedded within the display.
Besides, the handset shown in the promo video features a bezel-less design. Now this is somewhat contrary to past leaks which tipped that the smartphone would come with a curved screen. Just last week, an alleged leaked image of the Galaxy S8 shows the upcoming flagship decked in metallic gold and a curved edge screen. Also, the alleged image revealed other key details such as the lack of a physical Home Button and an almost bezel-less display.
Finally, the ad also reveals an AMOLED screen which suggests the Galaxy S8 is likely to come with the said display.
As is the case with rumors and leaks, nothing is officially confirmed before Samsung unveils the phone. Hence, readers are advised to take this with a pinch of salt.
