Ricoh has launched new series advanced projectors in India; the PJ S2440, PJ X2440 and PJ WX2440. The company says that these are incredibly versatile, the projectors boast Ricoh’s advanced technology, functionality, and reliability. These are available all over India, and the RICOH PJ S2440 is priced at Rs. 32,450, PJ X2440 at Rs. 37,760 and PJ WX2440 at Rs. 45,910.
The new projectors are ideal for conferences and classrooms as they offer excellent connectivity and they can be easily carried to anywhere along with you and can support screen size up to 30 inches to 300 inches wide diagonally, even when they are placed away from the wall or the projecting screen. The entry-level, RICOH PJ S2440 is also compatible with a big screen, powerpoint presentations and still images with SVGA resolution at up to 800 x 600 dpi with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
While the little high-end variant; the PJ WX2440 is capable of projecting images with WXGA resolution at up to 1280 x 800 dpi and offers 3,000 lumens coupled with 10,000:1 high contrast ratio mode. The good thing is that both the models support 16:9 ratio with multiple connectivity ports including a built-in HDMI/MHL port to plug in the broader range of multimedia devices like desktop computers, laptops, tablets, DVD and Blu-ray players. The company is also offering optional 3D projection tools, up-close-and-personal look at CAD drawings, blueprints and more. It also gives you an option to stream wirelessly via dongle.
While the PJ X2440 uses Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology and lets you adjust brightness for darker colors automatically to reduce energy usage and distortion of the image is retained with the Eco-Mode. It also has a port to connect external speakers although there are internal speakers. The lamp life of the projectors can be extended from 5,000 hours to a whopping 6,000 hours.
