Microsoft has announced significant price reduction of its popular gaming console Xbox. The company is trying to get a foothold in the gaming market of India. The latest announcement is an attempt to get more gamers buy the gaming consoles made by the Redmond-based company.
According to the latest announcement, the company announced a 19 percent price cut on Xbox 360. The gaming console’s 4GB edition was previously priced at Rs. 15,990. The price cut brings the price down to 12,990.
Customers can also avail the 4GB Xbox with Kinect for just Rs 21,990 and 250GB Xbox 360 with Kinect to 29,990. The previous prices of these bundles were Rs. 26,990 and Rs. 31,990 respectively.
Microsoft also announced in a statement that every new customer of Xbox 360 500GB model who subscribes to Xbox Live Gold membership will get access to free games, Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Microsoft competes with Sony’s PlayStation gaming consoles and Wii across the world. The gaming industry is already on the rise in India. But the highest grossing games are in the mobile gaming world. Microsoft continues to push its gaming consoles with repeated attempts to make it to the people’s living rooms across the country.
