MG Hector, India’s first internet vehicle has finally been launched in the country. Priced at INR 12.18 lakh, the new SUV comes with MG Shield vehicle ownership package that offers customers a 5-year manufacturer warranty for unlimited kilometers at no cost at all. The package also offers 24-hour roadside assistance for a period of 5 years.
Under the hood, the MG Hector gets powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-charged petrol engine that chruns out 143PS and 250Nm of peak torque. The drivetrain gets mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It also has option for a 6-speed DCT (Double Clutch Transmission). The SUV’s also gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine that makes 170PS and 350Nm of torque. That said, the diesel model only gets a 6-speed manual gearbox as there’s no automatic transmission here.
In additon, the company is also offering a 48V hybrid option with the petrol variant. That said, it doesn’t get an automatic option and buyers only get to choose the 6-speed manual transmission. As far as mileage goes, the petrol variant gets an ARAI rating of 15.81 kmpl, while the diesel one is rated to deliver 17.41 kmpl. You can find all price and variants of the MG Hector below:

The new MG Hector also gets 25 safety features as standard. Other key features include a 10.4-inch HD infotainment touchscreen, Car Play and Android Auto connectivity, LED daytime running lights, panaromic sunroof, 360-degree camera, cruise control, electrically adjustable front and rear seats, and heated OVRMs. The SUV is offered in a choice of five colour options. These include Candy White, Burgundy Red, Aurora Silver, Coloured Glaze Red, and Starry Black.
