Lava Twinpad 2-in-1 Hybrid with Windows 10 is launched in India at Rs. 15999. Available to purchase on Amazon, Twinpad is Lava’s first ever Windows 10 tablet with a 10.1-inch WXGA IPS HD bi-directional display.

Announcing the launch of Twinpad, Raman Sharma, Vice President & Business Head – Tablets, Lava International revealed that the company has manufactured the device in such a way that it offers great computing functionalities.

Moreover, Twinpad will be a perfect fit for students and IT professionals who are always on the move. Sharma further added that the device will be useful for those users who prefer to have a light weight tablet with all the features provided by Windows OS.

With dual functional display and addition of 3G SIM slot, the Twinpad will set new benchmarks in the highly competitive tablet industry, adds Sharma.

In response to our query, Sharma pointed out that the company is constantly pumping huge investments in R&D to build new products which are not only innovative but also relevant in today’s market scenario.

Lava Twinpad offers a 1.3 GHz quad-core Intel Baytrail Atom Z3735F processor paired with 2GB DDR3 RAM, 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 64GB) alongside a 7400mAh Lithium-ion polymer non-removable battery.

While the primary camera features a 2MP sensor, the front-facing shooter included with the tablet also comes with same sensor capacity.

In addition to a detachable keyboard, Lava Twinpad comes with a stylus pen and two micro-USB ports instead of one, normally found in other competing devices. However, we can confirm from the official images that the keyboard includes a dedicated USB 2 slot on the right side.

Even though the specifications of Lava Twinpad are a replica of other Windows 10 tablets available on the market, the display can be mounted in two different ways by either using it as a normal laptop or reversing the tablet placement on the keyboard and flipping it 360-degrees.

Lava also bundled a Twinpad Active Stylus with the device but you have to shell out another Rs. 1000. The default variant doesn’t include the stylus but comes with a free pouch.

Measuring 8.5mm thickness and with a weight of 570 grams, Lava Twinpad includes all major connectivity features such as Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3G, Google Maps including G-Sensor.

According to Lava, Twinpad will also be available in all retail stores, multi-brand outlets across India and not just limited to online platforms.
