Huawei has now announced the availability of Huawei MediaPad T5 in India. The announcement comes almost three weeks after the launch of Honor Pad 5 by its sub-brand Honor which also sells MediaPad T3 in the country.
The main highlights of the Huawei MediaPad T5 include a large 10.1-inch screen, octa-core processor, dual speakers, and a 5,100mAh battery. Let’s talk about its specifications and features in detail.

As for the specs, Huawei MediaPad T5 comes with a 10.1-inch full-HD (1920×1200 pixels) display with 16:10 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it gets powered by the dated octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC. Furthermore, it comes with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
For casual pictures and video calls, the company has included a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with f/2.4 aperture, accompanied by a 2-megapixel fixed-focus front camera with the same aperture.
Among other specifications, the MediaPad T5 gets dual stereo speakers at the bottom that supports Huawei’s Histen sound tech. The company is touting the amplifier system to bring louder and clearer sound with more flexible low-frequency.
On the software front, the tablet runs Android 8.0 with EMUI 8 on top. Backing all of this is a 5,100mAh battery which should give a decent enough screen on time. Lastly, the connectivity options onboard comprise of Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE support, GPS, and a Micro-USB port. The tablet measures 243x164x7.8mm and weighs 460 grams.
Price, Availability
The Huawei MediaPad T5 price in India has been set at Rs. Rs. 14,990 for the base model with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, on the other hand, will sell at Rs. 16,990.
The new tablet will be available in black colour option on Amazon.in with sales starting July 10. The company will also be offering a free flip cover and Huawei AM 12 Earphones worth Rs. 2,998 alongside the device.
