Huawei Mate 9 with dual lens Leica camera now available in 11 countries

Huawei Mate 9 smartphone has been launched with a 5.9-inch display and Leica dual-lens camera at EUR 699, which is equivalent to Rs. 51,600. Initially, Huawei Mate 9 will be available for purchase in China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and the UAE. Huawei Mate 9 will be available in Black, Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown, and Ceramic White color variants.

During the launch event, the company has announced that the phone will be launched in other emerging countries within the upcoming months. Along with Huawei Mate 9, the company also launched the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 at EUR 1395 and the Huawei Fit activity tracker.

Huawei Mate 9 specifications

On the specifications segment, the Huawei Mate 9 flaunts a 5.9-inch FHD IPS display, HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor, ARM Mali-G71 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB) loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat on top of EMUI 5.0.

If you purchase the handset, you will be able to experience the new features of Android 7.0 Nougat. In future, you will be eligible to receive updates for Android 7.1 Nougat as and when it is released.

The phone offers a 4000mAh battery with SuperCharge technology, which is capable of delivering a charge of 20 minutes. The fingerprint scanner on the rear panel provides support for gestures. With a weight of 190 grams, the Mate 9 is designed in a 7.9 mm thickness.

Huawei Mate 9 features Leica dual-lens camera

Talking about the camera specifications, the Mate 9 is equipped with the second-generation Leica dual-lens camera. The phone ships with a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and a 12-megapixel RGB sensor on the rear, both with f/2.2 apertures.

When it comes to a front-facing snapper, the Mate 9 offers an 8-megapixel sensor with a f/1.9 aperture. The rear camera ships with several advanced features such as optical image stabilization (OIS), Hybrid Zoom, dual-tone dual-LED flash, and phase detection autofocus system.

Expected to ship in January 2017, the Porsche Design Mate 9 features a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display, 6GB RAM, 256GB non-expandable internal storage. The phone will be available in Graphite Black color variant.
