HTC One M9+ Prime Camera Edition with 13MP Camera unofficially launched at Rs. 23900

HTC has released One M9+ Prime Camera Edition in India with a 5.2-inch display and MediaTek Helio X10 processor in Silver and Gunmetal color variants at Rs. 23,990. Designed with an all-metal body, the new HTC One M9+ features polished edges and is tapered ergonomically to provide accurate grip under any environment.

Even though HTC claims that the M9+ Prime camera edition ship with camera capabilities, the main camera offers only 13-megapixel sensor when compared to the 20-megapixel sensor in the previously released HTC One M9.

However, the rear camera provides advanced features like dual-LED flash, optical image stabilization (OIS), BSI back-illuminated sensor, autofocus, F/2.0 aperture with 27.3mm lens. The camera also includes the capability to capture videos with Full HD video recording. On the front, you will find a 4-megapixel sensor with Ultrapixel technology, f/2.0 aperture, and 2.68 cm lens.

On the specifications front, the One M9+ Prime Camera Edition features a 5.2-inch FHD super LCD 3 display (441PPI) with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, MediaTek helio X10 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage (expandable up to 2TB) loaded with Android 5 Lollipop on top of HTC Sense UI. A 2840mAh battery capable of delivering a talk time of 13 hours on 3G completes the package. Talking about connectivity, the device provides support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC in addition to the fingerprint sensor.

Apart from other features, HTC One M9+ Prime Camera Edition ships with behavior detection software with HTC BoomSound paired with 5.1 surround Dolby Audio sound effect and a dynamic equalizer.

With a weight of 158 grams and thickness of 9.61mm, the One M9+ will have to compete with Le 1s Eco, Asus Zenfone Max, Moto X Style, OnePlus 2, among others. Interestingly, HTC hosted a launch event in New Delhi on May 26, where the company launched six new smartphones including the premium flagship HTC 10. However, the company made no mention of the One M9+ Prime Camera. The new HTC One M9+ Prime Camera Edition is now available via official HTC India online store at Rs. 23,990.
