Google Play Music recently got better with the launch of a new family plan. The package enables you and your immediate family members to avail the services of Google Play Music for $14.99 per month.
As a subscriber, you will be able to take advantage of the same features that are available for individual plans. The plan includes unlimited access to more than 35 million songs without any advertisements.
With the help of Google Play Music family plan, you will be able to get personalized music recommendations tailored to the music you like.
For instance, if you are listening to Hindi songs, you will get best suggestions of various songs of this language. Your partner will be able to get recommendations based on their individual preference. They will not be able to view the kind and type of music you are listening.
Moreover, your family members will be able to stream music simultaneously on any Android and iOS device including the web. It is also possible to download music to your device and listen to them offline without establishing connectivity.
According to official sources, if you subscribe to a family plan on Play Music, you will automatically receive family access to YouTube Red in the United States.
Actually, the family plan was announced in September but was officially launched after a gap of two months.
In order to use Play Music family plan, you need to register by selecting upgrade to family plan option and share the account with either the relatives or friends you trust who are above 13 years of age by tapping the blue + icon.
You can also configure the email message that will be displayed on the invite to the person to whom you share the account. You will be prompted to verify the payment method and authenticate the changes either using a password or fingerprint sensor.
Presently, Google Play Music family plan is available for US, Canada, UK, Australia, France, and Germany. Google is likely to expand the coverage to more countries in the upcoming months.
Google Play Music provides free ad-supported radio based on your personalized recommendations with the ability to upload, store and listen to 50,000 songs.
