All those who have been waiting to download the admit cards for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016 can now do so from 1 pm today. This year, as many as 2,32,434 applications were received, which is the highest in seven years. The same was confirmed by CAT 2016 Convenor, Professor Rajendra K Bandi, who said, “From the period CAT 2010 to CAT 2016, this is the highest number of applicants.” The CAT exam will be held on December 4.
Here’s how to download CAT 2016 Admit Card:
- Go to the official website iimcat.ac.in
- Click on CAT 2016 Admit cards
- Fill in the required details e.g. Registration number etc. and hit Submit
- Now download the Admit Card and take a print out
Talking about the participation of girl, Bandi said, “In this category, the percentage of male candidates is very high (more than 80 per cent), which is something to think about. However, on the positive side, the percentage of female PWD candidates has increased from 14.76 per cent to 17.48 per cent. Small positive steps, but miles to go on this.”
